I typically book projects at least three months in advance, so it is best to reach out early if you have a timeline in mind.

Process

I will follow up with questions that help me understand the project from both a practical and design standpoint—how the piece will function, the character of the space, preferred materials or colors, and any other details that help shape the direction of the work.Sketch and estimate.
Once I have the basic information, I will put together an initial sketch and estimate. Estimates include my workmanship guarantee. If needed, I can also provide an invoice for any charge along the way.Deposit to reserve your project.
If you would like to move forward, I require a deposit to hold your place on my schedule. This is usually 50% up front, though larger projects may be broken into additional installments.Design development.
Early in the build, there may be additional check-ins as needed to finalize details such as proportions, finish options, and other design elements.Delivery and installation.
Delivery is included within 25 miles of my studio in Duluth. Beyond that, delivery charges apply. I also charge for any equipment rental required to complete delivery. Installation carries a cost for any work that is attached to a building or structure and will be included in the estimate.Final payment.
The remaining balance is due upon delivery.Taxes and additional charges.
Delivery charges, installation charges, equipment rental, and any applicable sales tax will be clearly listed on the estimate.
